Mydala Lake

It’s nothing short of an alluring place where one can vent all the stress out. Never have I seen a lake unfenced so far in my life in Bengaluru, until my eyes could feast on the Mydala lake which is around 65 kilometres away from the city. The mesmerising arena is a blend of three magnificent sights: the sunset, the giant boulders and the pale blue coloured lake. The gentle breeze curls up above the water- spread and the foreshore areas.
It was around five o’clock in the evening when I reached the Mydala lake with my bubbly gang. The vehicles could reach so close to the lakeside that only a few steps could make it . Even though the lakefront was not sandy, the rocky shore substituted it so well that we could sit and relax without getting anxious of getting muddy on all over our outfit. The breezy air that emerged from the far away hills fondled us top to toe. After playing in the water and skimming stones awhile, we withdrew to the area of rocky land with giant boulders which loom to fall at any time along the steepy area. I could perceive wild flowering trees growing amid the boulders adding a feather on their cap.
The scent of the flowers was similar to that of Jasmine and lookwise it resembled the Mimosa plant. I took a firm grip on the boulders before I could successfully manage to climb over the rock to pluck a few flowers. The beauty of watching the bewitching sunset sitting on the boluders was stupendous. There the massive red star stood a few steps away from the clasp of my hands. It gathered all the three hues such as yellow, orange and red in together and then gradually embraced the deep red colour devouring all others. Before sinking down the valley it dug out a kind of parting pain from my heart.
The lake view, the sunset, the rocky land with it’s wild flowers and the breeze could propel me down to the valley of tranquillity. I dreamed of spending my night there when lying over the rocks with the gust of wind wrapping me around like a blanket, the scintillating stars monitoring me like bedlamps with their shimmer and the lake with it’s breezy companion singing lullaby for me. I wish, I could stay there for a couple of days fleeing from the brisk life of city. I wish, I were a massive boulder so that I could watch the sunset on a diurnal basis.
